LG Announces Screen Phones Bezel World's Thinnest

Thinness of the screen to the edge of the body is called the bezel has turned into one of the model that should be present in the premium mobile phone. LG through its special unit LG Display are trying to make progress, release the screen to the bezel is the thinnest in the world, only 0.7 millimeters (mm) only.

“With the growing trend for large screen smartphones, customer demand for displays with a narrow bezel is increasing, because it enables users to enjoy the maximum use of screen area without compromising excellent grip and design,” said Byeong-koo Kim, Vice President and Head of IT/Mobile Development Group at LG Display. “With this innovative product having many advantages, ranging from its narrow 0.7mm bezel and high resolution picture quality to its slim design and touch-embedded solutions, LG Display will continue to lead the growing market for large screen smartphones, meeting the expectations of customers and users by enhancing the quality of devices,” said LG.


LG explained, because of the thinness of the bezel Neo Edge thanks to technology they create. It is a method, glue the circuit board simultaneously display backlight panel, touch panel modules included in the LCD. Neo Edge is also able to block the screen light leak and is resistant to water and dust.


South Korean giant will begin mass creating the screens this November. The first supply will be necessary for their clients in China. This is considering the creation of a large-screen phone with a strong growing Chinese vendors.
